This Cookie Policy explains how Fin Leads Pro uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and on campaign landing pages we operate for clients.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as pixels, local storage and SDK identifiers.
2. Categories we use
- Strictly necessary — required for the site to function (e.g. session, security).
- Analytics — help us understand traffic, performance and funnel behaviour.
- Advertising — Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Meta Pixel and similar platform tags used for conversion measurement, audience building and remarketing.
- Functional — remember preferences such as language or region.
3. Analytics cookies — data processing & retention
We use analytics cookies and similar identifiers to measure how visitors interact with our site and campaign landing pages, attribute form submissions to traffic sources, and improve campaign performance. Below is a summary of the analytics and conversion-measurement technologies we may set, the data processed, and how long it is retained.
3.1 What we process
- Device & browser data — IP address (truncated where supported), user-agent, screen size, language, timezone.
- Behavioural data — pages viewed, referrer, UTM parameters, time on page, scroll depth, clicks on key elements, form interactions.
- Conversion data — form submission events, lead source, timestamp and an internal submission ID used to deduplicate browser-side and server-side conversion events.
- Pseudonymous identifiers — randomly generated cookie IDs (e.g.
_fbp,_fbc,_ga, MicrosoftMUID) used to attribute visits and conversions to ad campaigns.
We do not store advertising or analytics cookies that contain plaintext personal data such as your name, email or phone number. Where we send conversion events to ad platforms via server-side APIs (e.g. Meta Conversions API), personal identifiers are hashed (SHA-256) before transmission.
3.2 Cookies and retention periods
- Meta Pixel —
_fbp(browser ID, retained up to 90 days),_fbc(click ID, retained up to 90 days). Used for conversion measurement and remarketing. Processor: Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. - Google Analytics / Google Ads —
_ga,_ga_*(visitor & session IDs, retained up to 24 months),_gcl_*(Google click ID, retained up to 90 days). Event-level data in our analytics property is retained for a maximum of 14 months. Processor: Google Ireland Ltd. - Microsoft Advertising (UET) —
MUID,_uetsid,_uetvid(retained up to 13 months). Used for conversion measurement and remarketing. Processor: Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd. - Internal consent & attribution —
flp_cookie_consent_v1(your consent choice, retained up to 12 months in local storage), lead-source attribution data (retained up to 30 days in local storage).
3.3 Server-side retention
Conversion events sent to our backend (lead source, timestamp, submission ID, hashed identifiers, IP address and user-agent) are retained for as long as needed to measure campaign performance and detect fraud, and in any case no longer than 24 months, after which they are deleted or fully anonymised.
3.4 International transfers
Some of the providers above are based outside the EEA/UK. Transfers are protected by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, and (where applicable) the EU-US and UK-US Data Privacy Frameworks.
3.5 Legal basis
We rely on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR / PECR reg. 6) for all analytics and advertising cookies. Strictly necessary cookies are set on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating the site securely.
4. Consent
Where required by law, non-essential cookies are only set after you provide consent via our cookie banner. You may withdraw consent at any time.
5. Managing cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings and via the opt-out tools provided by Google (adssettings.google.com), Microsoft (account.microsoft.com/privacy/ad-settings) and Meta (facebook.com/adpreferences). To withdraw consent on this site, clear the flp_cookie_consent_v1 entry from your browser's local storage and reload the page.
